Have you ever felt like the world was caving in on you and there was nothing you could do to stop it.  Things just keep declining and you cannot do anything right.  That is when I need musicals most.  Musicals take me away from the world and let me forget everything for a simple piece of time.  Then having people around who just let me get it all out...who simply give me hugs and listen help to.

Arg to life.  It is so unfair sometimes.  It better all be worth it.

Have you ever noticed that nobody ever stops and asks how are you.  I mean, we ask it when we first see each other, but it is more simply out of habit and to be polite.  All we are really looking for there is a nice response of "Oh, I'm fine.  How about you?"  No one ever really asks "How are you?" really wanting to know.  Being ready and willing to really take in all that person has on their mind and in their heart.I remember being shocked once when I asked someone who was checking me out in line and he actually told me.  In fact, I was put off by it.  But why should I be.  He was simply answering the question I asked him.  And I was simply saying it out of politeness and habit.  They teach us that in acting too.  They tell us "take down the bullshit and show us or tell us what you are really feeling inside."  It is something I am working on tremendously because I want the courage and confidence to really say how I am instead of "Fine, how are you."  It is a right we all have.  So next time someone asks you how you are, be honest.  You might shock them, but it might make them think.  Please, be open and willing to take other people in.  That is what makes like interesting.

Okay...I will put my soapbox away for a while now.

A Little Night Music was amazing!!!  I loved it!  I had read the play a while ago, but it was so much better live.  I definitely think I would want to play Charlotte.  Or maybe Petra.  But if they offered me Desiree or Anne, I definitely would not refuse.  It was so good!

Now I must go get the cast recording.

I also feel like going shopping.

I have a cabaret performance tonight.  Woo-hoo *cringes*!  We'll see how that goes.

Bette is going to be in The Women!!!!  I must admit I have never seen that play (*hangs head*) and have no idea what it is about, but I am still excited for it.  I mean, look at that cast!  How can you not be excited!?!?!

In other news, I am obsessed with Roseanne clips from youtube.  Have you seen the one where Jackie has to tell her aunt her dad died.  HYSTERICAL!!!

Also, I think Pats should post a picture from Gypsy at City Center...just a thought.

So on Monday I auditioned for a show at school.  It is the play The Shape of Things.  Anyway, there are only four roles and only two are girls and about 80 people auditioned.  So I was really nervous.  But the audition went really well.

He laughed through my whole thing (good laughter) and asked what year I was.  I explained to him that techinically theatre wise I am a freshman, but I am really a junior.  And he said "Well you will rise very quickly."  So I was thrilled.  But I kepted everything in mind about the show to not get hopes too high.

Sadly, I did not get a call back.  But I am proud of myself for doing it and proud that it went so well.  Just the beginning of many, many, many others like this.

Then I came back to my room and Pats posted a new ramblings!  Way to always make things better Patti.

It's my 20th Birthday!!!  I am no longer a teenager!!!!!  As someone told me this morning, I am a tweezer (a mix between I guess a teen and a geezer).

Today has been good so far.  Hopefully it stays that way.  Hope all your days are going well.

It is a special day ;)
